I wrote this wifehood prayer because wifehood is an act of service unto God. There are ups and downs, and we cannot do it without the help of the Lord. Father God,
Help Me
Lord, I thank you for this day. I ask you God to bless my marriage. I pray that my marriage will produce fruit. Help me, oh Lord, to be the respectful wife that you have called me to be. I pray that my words and my heart toward my husband would be gentle and kind. Keep my tongue from speaking harshly to him. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you Father.
Holy Spirit, help me to submit to my husband as if unto the Lord. Teach me daily what godly submission looks like. When I am tempted to take over as the leader of the family, remind me of the benefits of godly submission. I pray that my actions and attitude towards my husband would be glorifying to you Lord. Help me to be the loving and supportive wife that my husband desires. I desire to be a blessing to him all the days of our lives.
Bless My Husband
Hear my wifehood prayer, oh God, and bless my husband. Show him favor on his job and before others. Enlarge his territory and make him prosperous just like you did for Abraham. Help him to be the husband and the father that you have called him to be. Lead him as he leads our family. Give him visions and dreams that he will understand. Speak clearly to him, Lord, so that he will know which direction to go in. I know his calling to lead is not an easy one. Strengthen him when he is feeling weak, Father God, and help him to remember to cast his burdens upon you.
Oh Lord, please cover my husband. I ask you Father to protect him wherever he may go. Watch his coming and his going. Protect him, Lord, from any harm or danger that might come before him. Keep him in good health for many years to come.
Help Other Wives
Lastly Father, I pray for all the other wives out there who serve their husbands and families with love and devotion. I ask you to bless them with grace and wisdom, as they navigate the challenges of marriage and support their husbands. Fill them with your peace and comfort as they care for their families. Help them to trust in your plan for their marriages and to find hope in times of uncertainty. I pray that you bless their marriages, giving them strength and love for their husbands and helping them to lead their families in a way that honors you. Thank you for the sacrifice and love that Christian wives show every day. I ask that you continue to bless them and their families now and always.
