“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
To all the moms out there who are regularly home with the kids, often alone, you know the struggle. You operate in survival-mode most days. You have become a master at doing things while holding a child. Your days are jam packed with activities. You are a professional multitasker. Read more about optimized productivity in this post.
If you identify with any of this, keep reading. You are going to want to make sure you invest in these 7 household items that I use almost everyday!
1. Amazon Fire Stick
Can we just pause to give God thanks for technology? This household item is a must! I literally use it everyday. Sometimes you just need your children to be entertained while you get something else done. It is just so helpful to have access to all of our subscriptions and streaming services in one place. You can also set purchase and watching restrictions. Parents 1, kids 0.
2. Air Fryer
As I mentioned in my previous post, quick, easy kid lunches are key. This is the air fryer we use, and it is a life saver, It’s easy to use and gets food cooked and crispy quicker than the oven. Get yourself an air fryer and than me later.
3. Baby Gate
This is one of those household items I cannot recommend enough! Jesus be a fence! Seriously, toddlers are busy little creatures. They need to be contained for everyone’s safety and mom’s sanity. This item will make your life so much easier. Trust me.
4. High Chair
Similar to the item above, the high chair can be used for containment. Pop your little one in there with a snack and “get your multitask on”! This is a really great one we have used by Ingenuity. It is easy to clean and store. It also grows with your child.
5. Step Stool
As far as household items go, this one definitely won’t break the bank. However, without it you will spend more in back treatments. This item makes my toddlers more independent in the bathroom and saves me from having to pick them up for every visit to the sink. We have a couple for upstairs and downstairs.
6. Swiffer WetJet Mop
Kids are messy. PERIOD. God made them this way to keep moms humble. I’m talking to you stained shirts! If you have hard floors, you need this to quickly pick up messes during the day. I prefer using the wet Swiffer because who has time to mop the old fashion way? Ain’t nobody got time for that.
7. Dyson Cordless Vacuum
Last but not least on the list of household items is the cordless vacuum. It’s the most pricey item on the list, but, in my opinion, it’s worth it especially if you have stairs. This stick vacuum is so light weight and doesn’t have cords that trip up my baby as he tries to help.
